Music in the present time for me is very influential and Ellie Goulding has had a large impact on my music choices. I recently went to see her on tour as well so this dong means even more to me now as I’ve heard her reasons behind writing it. The song has some very deep emotions about relationships, as I can relate to being in a relationship this song means a lot to me. I love the tone of the song as it isn’t to upbeat so fit the storyline; her voice is very soothing and peaceful although I like her as an artist as she can have a powerful voice as well when it is appropriate.
She talks about waiting for someone emotionally which is easy to relate to when you are emotionally attached to someone. She also more than once expresses her need to know the truth which I also find extremely important as I am very against lies. Ellie Goulding’s music explains a lot to me and she is one of my favorite artists at the moment, this is why I chose this song (my favorite of hers) as my song that I can relate to now.
